NAOHOA is an appointment-only studio, which means walk-ins and short-notice appointment are not accepted.

If you’re wondering whether you need a Consultation or not, here’s the place to find out!

Services

🌟 Bespoke

Each design at NAOHOA is drawn from scratch and not repeated on other clients (unless they request matching tattoos to express their bond with one another).

If you want to talk to me about your tattoo 1:1 and design a piece together, then you’ll need to book a Consultation. I’ll answer general questions via email or Instagram DM’s if they’re not already covered in FAQ’s, but anything about the piece you want designed (and estimate of cost) will be covered during your Consultation.

There is a £15 fee for up to 30mins of 1:1 time and zero pressure to continue, should you decide that we’re not a good fit or you’ve changed your mind on the tattoo. This is non-refundable and won’t be deducted at the end of your tattoo (only your Deposit and Booking Fee will be).

In a nutshell:
Consultation → Pay Deposit → Initial Designs → Up to 3 Design Iterations → Book Tattoo → Get Inked!

Please note that Initial Designs are done in order of when people have paid their deposits. The timescale can vary depending on the level of complexity of designs I’ll be working with, but I try to get the first draft done within a month.

I accept 20 people at a time for bespoke pieces and announce when books reopen via InstagramFacebook and the Mailing ListPlease either keep tabs on those accounts or sign up to find out when they re-open instead of asking me directly. I generally aim to reopen my books every 2-4 months, depending on the complexity of the work I get in each batch.

🥀 Coverups

Sometimes, things don’t work out and it’s time to move on! Due to me needing to take photos and make a template of the existing tattoo, you will need a Consultation.

All the stuff under ‘Bespoke’ apply here. 🙂

📆 Book an Appointment:

⚡ Flash & Script

‘Flash’ is pre-designed art that is ready to tattoo without any amendments.

The following count as Flash:

  • Pieces on my Designs page or IG Story Highlights labelled, ‘Flash’
  • Your own art (as-is – no alterations from me)
  • Pieces by other artists you’ve either purchased or gained permission to use their work (I’ll need a screenshot of the interaction as proof). This includes photography.
  • Photos you’ve taken or are from royalty-free websites, such as Unsplash.
  • Generic shapes such as hearts or stars.
  • Script* (writing or numbers). Can be your own handwriting or using a font (DaFont has a ‘Sample’ feature to see your text in different fonts).

Every request for Flash will need to include the following information:

  1. Subject(s)
  2. Images to help explain what you’re after
  3. Sizing (cm)
  4. Location (where on the body you want to be tattoo’ed)
  5. Proof of purchase/permission (if applicable)
  6. Font (if applicable)

When ready, please email me via info (at) naohoa.com, then I’ll send you the Booking Link if it is suitable to ink. Any DM’s requesting Flash will be sent this page to request an email.

You don’t need a Consultation for Flash pieces and will be able to book a tattoo appointment whenever I’m next available (via the Booking Link).

* for Script pieces, please send me the exact word/phrase/numbers. You can use the ‘Sample’ function on DaFont.com to see how it looks in different fonts and send me a screenshot (including the name of the font).

…generally-speaking, I don’t do names unless it’s of a family member. 🙈 I’ve swayed with initials in the past, but I’m sure you know the stereotype by now. Proceed at your own risk. 😬💔

✍️ Freehand Flowers

If you have a very clear vision of what you’d like and it involves flowers, you can send me an email with the following:

  • Name of flower(s)
    – maximum of three types
  • Photos of said flower(s)
    – ideally collated to a single page for easy printing (e.g. via Word/Canva/PicCollage)
  • Size (cm)
    – currently limiting to small-medium-sized tattoos. Subject to change.
  • Location (where on the body you want to be tattoo’ed)

These will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If deemed suitable, I’ll send a Booking Link and rough quote. If I think it would be better for you to go down the Bespoke route for more time and attention, I’ll recommend this and you’ll need to wait for my books to re-open.

Examples of the types of flowers and art styles suitable for this service.

Consultation is not needed for this option because I’ll be following your lead on the day, providing it’s within the parameters above. Any additional requests made on the day (e.g. butterflies, script, etc.) will not be agreed to. DO NOT use this as a cheat to skip the Waiting List for Bespoke pieces. Clients who try to do this will have one Strike added to their name and risk being banned.

If you don’t have a clear image in your mind for what you want and lean towards being indecisive/need a lot of time and reassurance before committing to a tattoo, this service isn’t for you – the Bespoke route would be a more comfortable experience. 🙂 This is for people who are certain what they’re after and are happy to go with the flow on the day. Naturally, if for whatever reason it doesn’t work out on the day, there is no pressure to continue – a fee for my time will be incurred instead.

Due to the nature of this, more time within your appointment will be spent on prep than usual – especially for colour pieces. Expect to spend time waiting for inks to be mixed and working together to get your design right…it might not be quick, but it’ll be done properly! 🙏💐

Gift Bag

At NAOHOA, we get a high percentage of folks getting their first tattoo. To ease them into the club (and ensure everyone’s on equal footing), every new customer receives a complimentary Gift Bag containing a sachet of After Inked, spare Saniderm patch(es), an Aftercare Leaflet and a little sweet treat!

Kuro Sumi Ink

The majority of ink used at NAOHOA is by Kuro Sumi, which is organic and vegan-friendly.

Although not pictured (yet), all inks have been switched to the Imperial Range, which is EU-compliant.

Dynamic Ink is used for greyscale tattoos.

After Inked, an organic and vegan-friendly tattoo aftercare cream is available to buy at NAOHOA Luxury Bespoke Tattoos, Cardiff, Wales.

After Inked

After Inked is a reputable brand made with natural ingredients and designed specifically for tattoos and piercings. It is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and does not contain petroleum/paraben/fragrances. Unlike nappy rash cream (which is often advised in other studios), After Inked does not stick to clothes or collect dirt.
For more information, visit their website.

The following creams can be purchased in-store and are subject to availability:

7ml Sachet, £2.50
90ml Tube, £20

Apply 3 times a day after cleaning while your tattoo is healing. For more detailed instructions, visit the Aftercare Advice page.

Saniderm

Saniderm, an aftercare product specifically designed for tattoos, is available to buy at NAOHOA Luxury Bespoke Tattoos, Cardiff, Wales (UK).

Saniderm is a medical-grade aftercare product that acts like a second skin; protecting your new tattoo from water and dirt whilst letting it breathe and reduce scabbing. It’s a hassle-free way to let ink heal and once you try it, you won’t go back!

During your consultation, you will have a small patch to test for allergies. This is a precautionary step due to rare cases where clients have had reactions despite not being allergic to latex/plaster adhesives.

Clients (who want to use it) will have it applied before they leave the studio, along with an additional patch to take home. For large pieces, allow for additional time after your tattoo for multiple patches to be cut to size and applied.

Instructions:

  1. Keep the first one on for 24 hours. To remove, sbmerse in warm water to loosen it then peel away gently.
  2. Clean the tattoo with a mild soap (or just warm water), using your hand only.
  3. Leave to air dry or pat dry with a clean, disposable tissue.
  4. Remove the paper backing of the Saniderm patch and apply to the centre of your tattoo. Hold into place and apply even pressure from the centre outwards to avoid air bubbles.
  5. Carefully remove the outer clear plastic cover so that you’re left with only the thin layer of Saniderm. Push away air bubbles to the edges if necessary. This can stay on for up to 6 days.
  6. After use, you can either purchase more in-store or follow the Aftercare Advice until your tattoo has completely healed.

For more information on the product or to see a video tutorial, please visit their official page: saniderm.com

WARNING:

Saniderm is NOT suitable for those who are allergic to latex or have reactions to the adhesive layer on plasters. If this applies to you, I will clean the area, moisturise it and tape cling film to the tattoo so that it won’t adhere to your clothes on your way home. Please follow the Aftercare Advice as soon as you get home and for the next two weeks to ensure your tattoo undergoes a smooth healing process.
